Logo Critique

Both of these companies are top brands in the hockey equipment industry.  They both sell high quality products ranging from skates to sticks to helmets.  Elite players such as college and pro players prefer either of these two companies over most others.  I feel that the CCM logo appears as if it would be more successful than the Bauer logo just because it has some color which would attract more people to their products.  The reality though is that Bauer is the leading hockey equipment brand and people who know anything about hockey just know the quality of their products and don't need to be drawn in by a super fancy logo.  I believe that they are both very well constructed because they're easy to put on the side of a hockey stick or on the tongue of a hockey skate and you would still be able to tell what they say.  In this particular business, it's not about drawing a customer in, it's about people seeing your product in action performing well and they will go and buy it.  I know this from my own personal experience.  In my hockey days I never went after what looked go or what drew me in, I watched teammates, opponents, and pros play and when I saw something good no matter how it looked or who made it I would go and buy that thinking it would work just as well for me.  They both do a good job of allowing someone like me to be able to see their products in action and be able to tell right away that it was their product.
